Strategy

Green Bear's strategic objective is to acquire a position of the leader on the renewable energy market in Central European countries that focus on developing renewable energy. Apart from developing its own projects the Company envisages acquiring best projects and establishing joint ventures with selected, reliable partners.

Key operation markets of Green Bear are the countries with high demand for renewable energy which have economic conditions that are favourable for dynamic growth. Both the EU regulations and the state strategy of Poland and the Czech Republic are aimed at strengthening renewable energy sources, self-sufficiency, and also diversification of energy sources.

Strategic opportunity: energy

The region needs to increase and diversify its power production:

Electricity demand is growing together with life standards.
Domestic coal reserves are depleting and extraction costs are increasing.
Most of existing power plants and CHP plants will be replaced in the next 20-30 years.
Increasing the share of renewable energy in the energy balance enhances sustainability.
Economical players and political authorities of CEE countries are significantly concerned to keep their energetic self-sufficiency and to preserve their independence.
Renewable energy sources will be economically competitive with conventional energy sources in the medium to long term.
Renewable energy is, by definition, local energy. Its development can create new business, bring employment and encourage economic and social cohesion in regions that otherwise lack industrial development.
